The SYMBOL® cup has been designed in the shape of a half-sphere. The hemispherical shape offers a balance between ROM (Range Of Motion) and Jumping Distance. All cups in the SYMBOL® range (dual mobility and ceramic) have the same exterior design. This allows the centers of rotation of the metalback, the PE insert and the ceramic insert to be confused.

Dual mobility cups are indicated for first-line arthroplasties in patients with a very high risk of dislocation, and revision arthroplasties in cases of iterative dislocations and in patients with a high risk of dislocation. The single mobility cup is indicated for first-line arthroplasties in patients with a very high risk of dislocation.
